The Worst Storm Ever
It was a clear night. I could smell the fire burning and the hangi cooking it smelt soooooooo good.

Then... it all started

Flash, rumble, rumble, flash again “oh no”, I cried “a thunderstorm”.
I ran to unplug my radio BUT, to late lightning had stuck it. I was so horrified. But mum said it would still work so I did not worry and it turned out fine.
I just continued watching the storm and it was so fun.
What I saw was amazing it was this I saw the god of thunders fork piercing the heavens and I thought it would hit me. “Arrrrrrrrhhhhhhh” I yelled I heard A hungry lion roaring and I hid.

Then it all calmed down and it was sunny “wow” I thought that is finally over”


Then we had dinner and it was a hangi and it was delish. We went to bed and it was sooooo sticky and hot.
I thought the day was fun because it scared my sisters. Scary because it had sudden noises.

    We have been studying severe weather in our science classes. Storms can be interesting to observe when you know you are safe! You describe it very well, I could almost see it!

    We wanted to know, what is "hangi?"

    Wow. That sounds really scary. One time, there was a bad storm like that where I live, and lightning almost struck my house. It even crashed my family's computer. But we were ok, and I'm glad you are. Great story.

    Wow. That sounds really scary. I was in a storm kind of like that. Lightning almost struck my house, and even crashed my family's computer. But we were ok, and I'm glad you are. Great story.

    I was once in a storm like that it was very interesting to see I also like watching tornadoes form in the storm I was in my T.V. went out and my radio! Good story

    Whats a hangi??? I haven't tried it before but i would love to...........Yea it is pretty fun watching a storm but it can be scary at the same time

    That was a scary story. I like that you had so many details that I could picture it in my head. It has reminded me of storms around my area and how scared I was.

    It is true that thunder can sound like a lion. So we learned about storms and weather awhile ago.

    I like the story but i did not know what hangi means so it was a little challenging to read.

    That was pretty nice i pictured it all in my head.That must have been pretty scary,over here where I live we also get bad thunderstorms.

    Wow the lightning strucked your radio. Storms remind me a lot of tornado but some storms are like a story to many things happen that you think you see.

    we had a tornado in Rocky Comfort and almost hit a school.also we had a storm in Noel it was very very very!!!!! bad ... one of my friends house was almost flooded..

    Storms are very scary when there very close by your house! I get scared when I see lighting and then hear the thunder.
