Moko is a very famous Dolphin that lives on the East Coast of New Zealand near Whakatane. Moko is famous because he swims and plays with the locals. I got to swim with Moko when my family was on holiday there. Please listen to my story. It took a lot of work to put my photos and sound file together. I hope you enjoy it. Frances
I like your blog because the school looks awesome
ReplyDeleteFrances - what a wonderful recount! I had heard stories from teh newspaper about Moko the Dolphin but actually seeing pictures and hearing your voice talk about it gave me a much better understanding! I have to say hearing you talk about being pushed off and whacked by Moko I don't know if it sounds like much fun! On the other hand I think it must have been such a wonderful experience for you! Great use of Photostory too, I will show this to my classroom because we're looking at publishing work on photostory this week and this is a great, great example!

ReplyDeleteFrances, Well done. I am your great aunt Heather from Mackay Queensland. I can recall Opo the friendly dolphin when I was about your age at Reporoa Primary School about 50 years ago. Ask Grandma about him. He was at Opononi. (I am not up with Maori spelling anymore) We didn't have videos when we were children. Your Great Grandpa (Poppa Boy) had a movie camera.
